Oh we love it.
Its utter heaven on a pitta bread slice.
But its laden with oil and crap we can't see so I made a HEALTHY alternative and its practically the same. Syn free on SW eating plan - we like syn free, don't we?
2 large red peppers, de-seeded and cut into 4
6 tomatoes, chopped in half
1 onion, chopped roughly
3 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon tabasco sauce
2 tablespoons fat free yogurt
couple splashes of worcester sauce
Bang all the veg on roasting tins and spray with fry lite. Bung in the oven for 15 minutes on a medium heat. Wazz the roasted veg in a wizzer machine with the rest of the ingredients - let it chop chunkily. Serve with cruditees or serve as a sauce over chicken.
I have a feeling that there is a spoonful of sugar in the original recipe but we love this fresh, additive free and tasty version!
Don't tell me you don't like it - I will NOT believe you. Ever.
