Cheat bows - gotta love some cheatin'

I help Fantastic Ribbons out with a few odds and ends and they generously give me ribbon to play with.  It feels like I am Imelda Marcos rolling around in Shoes.  Or even Howard Hughes lying so lovingly on a massive bed of tissues.  I am THAT obsessed with ribbon.  So when Keith and Ben asked me "Can you make some videos using our wares?", they had me at "Can.............".

Here is the bow that I made.
Usually a wide ribbon, like this one, would create a mahooosive knot.  So I figured out a way to make a cleaner looking bow which will always turn out neat and easy to primp.

Here is a link to the blog which will take you to the video tutorial.

 Have fun!

I think I love you! I can never make big bows and have bought 3 different bow makers. This is soooo simple - love it!

Utterly divine, inspired and wonderful. Did I say I love this idea?

I have embedded the tutorial into a post on my site, Kirsty, with the credit very much yours and also with Fantastic Ribbons mentioned too.

Glory be to the true Queen of Crafterland!

Hi Kirsty, did you work in a supermarket in a past life? I've never seen such a big adhesive gun :)- Lovely bow, and very sharp and clean scissors to cut the ribbon with. I always forget and use my scissors for cutting my foam pads, useless then for ribbon.

Lovely bow and great tutorial. Love wide ribbon and big bows but tend to avoid them because of the bulky knot - now I won't have to :) Thanks for sharing. Elizabeth

wondering when crafting will return to craftland. proper hand made things from scratch rather than bits and pieces of toppers and so on. dont expect it ever will because they like quick fixes dont they rather than true crafting as they havent got a clue how to do it such as willow baskets, moasics all the true skills rather than the quick fixes they say are hand made!!!

The video is great, Somehow I had some subtitles when I watched it that were absolutely hilarious! Not sure if they come up for everyone watching it?
