The perfect model

Ive ALWAYS loved taking photos of Elise.  Mature way beyond her years and always willing to have her picture taken.  I booked her a while back to show off my fluffy petticoats and polka dot skirt collection.  Ive got a shoot at the end of the month with 3 girls for their pre-prom lead up.  I wasn't sure how the skirts would hang so I asked Elise to trial them out.

This was one ensemble out of a set of 4.  She really rocked that fluffiness.  And its hard to believe that she is only TWELVE years old.

Thank to Jaime (her adorbs mum) for giving me the permish to publish these photo and have her daughter work these skirts so that I know what Im dealing with at the end of May (and that would be mainly static - ouch!).  Ive to sift through another 250 pics tonight so expect to see more of the effervescent Elise.

Shocked to the core that you have photographed a 12 yo dressed and posed like that. Totally inappropriate.

Well she is covered up and wearing a knee length skirt. What's inappropriate about it?

Come on Anonymous show yourself...only smutty minds make this inappropriate...girlies love to dress up.

Good grief. What is wrong with you anonymous. She is dressing up and having fun. Some clients want their kids dressed in low cut tops and extremely short skirts. I do not take those kind of photos. This is fun. You know. FUN.

I think it's a fab photo, any twelve year old girl I know would love to dress up in that skirt, absolutely nothing inappropriate about that, and by god you see some sights walking around with their cropped tops and short skirts. If my daughter wanted to wear this (and she is only eight) I would be more than happy! Rant over, Kirsty, it is a brilliant photo, you and her mum must be very proud.

quite right Jo, Kirsty has just taken some shots of my girls 9 and 11 and their friend 11 in the same outfit...what shall I do call the police?

Liza T, I bet they looked gorgeous, my daughter would love it (and if I thought I could fit in that skirt then so would I)!!!

Great photo Kirsty, as always. I do not agree with Anon's comments as I fail to see anything inappropriate about this photo. She looks fabulous (in a totally age appropriate way)!

I would have taken Elise for older, she's stunning and seems to have a flare for modelling, and I see no problem with the pose or that fabulous skirt ... it's a decent length as Jo has already pointed out. I wore skirts and petticoats like these in the 50s/60s and I was just a kid then too. Elizabeth

OMG anonymous! You're obvs embarrassed by your comments or else you'd give a name, she's not showing any leg, chest or standing in a suggestive pose so I think it's you with the innappropriate mind!

Fab skirt and piccy Kirsty!

Fabulous photo, gorgeous skirt and stunning model - a winning combination Kirsty.

Nothing inappropriate about a young girl dressing up and looking feminine as opposed to tarty. The small minded anonymous really needs to stop reading your blog if she doesn't like what she sees, we all have a choice. I would have loved to have had the chance to dress up like that. You should feel very proud that you have helped a young girl feel very special. Her mum must be thrilled with the results. I for one can't wait to see more of the pics.

great photo Kirst, and although I'm shocked she is 12, its got nothing to do with inappropriateness (have I made that word up?!), its the fact she looks like a professional model! Stunning photo!

Lovely photo; your "Prom" girls are gonna love their session. If you get the static problem sorted, let me know! I got a shock from touching a wooden door handle the other day! :o

Fab skirt and lovely photo.

I've heard if you spray hairspray up under the skirt it stops the static.

Hey Kirsty. Had a lovely time yesterday. Elyse had the time of her life. Can"t wait to see the rest of the photos - they'll all be fab.
As for 'Anonymous' , I don"t really have anything to say about your being so small-minded and spiteful. 'In real life' - my daughter is 5'7" absolutely gorgeous, and (unfortunately) looks about 18. However, she never EVER wears anything that is in any way revealing. And not because I insist on it - but because she has self respect.

What a stunning girl!!! Mum must be very proud of her. I'd love a skirt like that, especially with the ruffles. I bet she felt a million dollars!! You continue to put me to shame with your many talents!!!

(P.S. She looks totally natural, not at all posed and certainly not at all inappropriate!! Where did that come from Anonymous???? Just a post of a great photo of a beautiful girl, showing Kirsty's amazing handiwork!!!)

How many times can one person be told to get a life before they actually do?

I would much rather my 12 year old daughter look like this, absolutely stunning, than look like a street walker in short shorts and crop tops.

This girl is truly beautiful and looks like a wonderful young lady. A daughter any parent would be proud of.

Anonymous? Do you have children? If you do, they have my sympathies

Wow can't believe she is only 12!! She has a very promising future ahead of her :) This skirt is GORGEOUS!! I want one....2....ok loads of them lol
As for "anonymous" how on earth is this inappropriate?!! This is exactly how girlies use to dress back in the day and parents were extremely strict back then!! I think she looks beautiful :)

Lovely looking young lady - great photo too! I bet she had great fun dressing up and playing with the frilly skirts!
Love the red & black combi - very nice.

BTW a friend used to have an "anti-static" spray to keep her slips/petticoats from going all sparky. She sometimes used a perfumed body spray in emergencies (lift layers, spray, drop layers - it works! And in dire emergency, water would work, as the slightly damp fabric couldn't make static then.)

Suggest you might want to put comment moderation on for a while, Kirsty - weed out "inappropriate" comments eh? How silly and rude of her/him! I know you would never do/photograph anything inappropriate - ever! Keep Snappin' Sister!
