How to win friends and influence people

This term of phrase came from a book written over 70 years ago. And a bloody good book it is too. Ive recently revisited it with a renewed skip in my step (on my Kindle app, no less.....I can read it anytime I want from my iPhone). I can't recommend it enough, this book makes me feel that all is well with the world and that I am impenetrable! Its not a self help book per-se, its more a book on studying the psyche of other peoples behaviour and how you can come to agreements/arrangements that work in BOTH your favours. The trouble is, everyone SHOULD read this book so that everyone has a level pegging. I seriously think that all schools should teach its findings in school. Kids would leave school with excellent morals and ready to face the world with a supreme confidence.

This book was written mainly for people in business; to learn to be effective communicators. But I feel anyone can learn from its lessons and utilise it in their normal, daily lives. Whether you are a stay at home mum, a postman, a road sweeper, Richard Branson.

Im going to start a discussion group in a months time so if you want to join, try and find a copy of this book on AMAZON (or ebay) NOW! Don't pay more than £6 for it as its quite cheap. Or you can Kindle it or download the entre book (PDF file) for FREE, by typing this in your address bar: erudition.mohit.tripod.com/_Influence_People.pdf

By god, its a beauty. A real treasure and one that you will thank Dale Carnegie for, for the rest of your life. And maybe me, too - for introducing it to you!!! He heeeee **insert smug but happy to share the inspiration look**

Leave a comment below if you are interested in joining the discussion group. Then I'm going to run a free journal class to accompany it.

Love

why would someone shudder at the thought of amazing technology which allows people who are visually impaired to enarge font sizes and enjoy reading? they dont have to have one but dont knock what you dont understand or need- be thankful you dont!

I shall have to have a read of this I think. Is it easy enough to read on the iPhone? I would have thought it was too small.

And get you Anonymous with your visual impairment! I don't think Jaki said why they make her shudder so once again you are putting your warped thoughts on someone else's comments. May I suggest you read the book....

Kirsty, I tried to use your link to download the PDF, but it isn't working.... Can you fix the link please, or can someone tell me where to get it free that I don't have to either give all my personal details or end up on risqué looking sites! (Honest! Some of the book covers on one site made me blush. :o )
Thanks. Jude.x

Have downloaded the book & will have a read!

I use a mix of ebooks and tree books - they all have a place in today's world and we should take full advantage of the technology we have - mix and match to suit - perfect!

What a blast from the past! I read this book when I was 16. I remember I liked the style it was written in. Warm & light on the brain. I still have that old copy too. Back then, the information all seemed new and like nuggets of gold. A quick glance recently & I felt it was a bit basic and just common sense. You know, smile, be interested in the other person, ask questions. If you're already a polite person, who generally gets along with people, I wouldn't bother reading it. I also read his other bestseller, "How to stop worrying and start living", which I also lapped up as a teen. I know that book helped me a lot way back then. Be interesting to hear other people's thoughts, so count me in :) Pxx

Like many others I read this book years ago and have passed it on to numerous friends since then. Now I just have to figure out which one of them still has it! Think I may have to buy another copy. Trish x

Flamin' ek Kirsty...
Never heard of the book but was very interested in reading it. So I popped on Amazon, bought it along with one of his other books.. Now because I didn't know anything about this man who sounds very interesting I googled him..
Rumour has it he commited suicide!!! Dear me a bit depressed now, hope it was just rumour or what was the point in his "self help" books..
that said still looking forward to their arrival.. What do you reckon?
xx

Let's hope that Dale Carnegie didn't commit suicide after all his success in helping other people gain self confidence. Wikipedia says that he died of Hodgkins Disease and kidney failure!!!! lol Susiesu xxx

Yes I read that too, hope it was an illness that took him ( in the best possible way if you know what I mean).. Hope it was rumour after all.. awful rumour though if that's what it was...
Anyway I will devour his books when the arrive.. Take care all..xx
By the way I forgot to put my name to previous post.... Helen.....
not anom..

Oh yes, what a great book. My Dad gave it to me to read my first year on my business course many moons ago. I've not read it since. It was on our reading list but Dad swore by it as a businessman and really into networking as well. Thanks for the link. Cool to have it on my Kindle. x

Have just downloaded it to my iPad (for free from your link) - if I go to Amazon I can never buy just one!!!

I think we should all chip in to buy Anon a copy - if only we knew who to send it to!
