I had to answer the door this morning to our annual visit form the Jehovahs Witnesses. I indulge them with politeness (unlike my neighbours who you can see cowering behind their curtains). I take their literature and say thank you but Im athiest. Well, I think I am. Yes, just had a think. I am athiest. I just don't pray or go to church because, well - Ive said this a million times, why would I want to go to church and praise somebody who makes Ellie suffer? When they left, I didn't slam the door in their faces because a: they are human and b: they are always so pleasant (believe me, there are people who practically frog march such folk off their property). Jehovah's don't have any damning way of convincing you to convert and I feel, for them, they must think its an empty cause doing all this door knocking. But, its their belief and I respect that. Although any religion that doesn't celebrate christmas is barking. Think of the lack of eatage of cake, for starters.
What I was going to lead on to say was whilst I was stood at the door, I noticed a familiar box on the porch floor. And I looked twice thinking "Huh?". That said I picked it up and felt little tears pricking my eyes. For two years I took receipt of those boxes but now I was on unfamiliar territory. I hadn't opened one of those boxes for months. I kind of knew what was inside but secretly I hoped it was a kit just for me to make layouts with the team, again :( Nevertheless, I unpacked two lovely white bags and inside they contained the new line from Studio Calico, Anthropolgie. And they are for a UK and European giveaway. YES! A giveaway for you Studio Calico loving scrapping dudes. There are the fabulous fabrips, cardstock alpha stickers, double sided heavy weight papers, gorgeous stickers and fab-as-ever ledger paper :) We know how hard it is to get these papers in the UK so here is chance to sample them and get your local LSS to stock them for everyone else to enjoy! Just leave your name in my comments box and I will draw 2 names on Sunday.
Finally Ive dragged out my camera archives to share this 3rd addition to my impending-soon-to-be-fabulous-dining room. I want to fill the room with foody style quotes combined with pretty art so my guests won't fall asleep in their soup as I bore them with stories of my life as a pole dancer in Moscow. You can see the other two here and here
And that, my friends, was the sum of my day. Oh and I got an iPhone and currently my Blackberry, that its being replaced with, is crying in its box feeling all unloved and unsleek. Its taking a bit of getting used to. Anyone else struggling jumping from Blackberry to iPhone. I'm feeling a tinge of defection, lack of devotion and commitment to that fat little mobile phone.
