Jack of all ......... plus a super coolio giveaway

I will heartily admit I am a jack of all trades when it comes to odd jobs in my freelance working life. Im master of none, obviously. I do really odd commissions and some that fly out of nowhere and then never to return again. I get frequent commission with some regular companies too but its the freaky ones I love the most. Because they are not routine, I guess. This week has seen a lot of outlandish stuff of which I have enjoyed every second so far. For one, Im currently Junes Fiskateer for the Uk Fiskarettes blog. Last week I supplied this using their products and this week I supplied this using their punches. Go here for the 3rd June entry to see the full reveal of this layout. This week I made 3 projects from very little paper supplies to try and stretch out the budget. I liked the results a LOT.

Today I completed the write up and design of a paper range for Augusts Crafts Beautiful to tie in with my article relating to tea parties. I mean who would turn that down as a human let alone a crafter? I fashioned my designs around spotty tea pots and cup cakes with co-ordinating papers in spots and stripes. I have a sneak preview of them here - the editorial team really think these should be fabrics. If only...................and they will only be available to download from the Crafts beautiful website for one month only in July. I used them to make stationary for my tea party by the form of invites, place settings and cup cake penants. I cant wait to photograph the tea party tomorrow (Ellie has no idea, I cannot wait to see her reaction). I have a beautiful 2 tier cake stand in red spots to fill with scones, dainty sammiches, iced gems, marshmallow on sticks plus royal albert tea cups filled with Tetley tea, glasses of pink lemonade, another cake stand for individual cup cakes that have red and white spotted cases (swoon) too. I think we are all deserved of English tea parties and if you live in the Wigan area, we have enough food for those who live local - you could come if you wanted :)

I have further sneaks of layouts I have made with Junes Kit from Sarahs Cards tomorrow that I have rounded off today. You really ought to brace yourself with the wonderful ideas she has coming your way with the kits. I get so excited when I see friends hitting on a good thing. Im going to be taking pictures of her twins on Friday; Im so so excited. I lerb babies.

This afternoon i also did some collaboration work for Nintendo. I mean, shut up! Nintendo? Im so excited about that. Im not into gaming and essentially what I did was not for gaming. You know, its all CV building stuff! It was all good fun and this house is Nintendo freindly what with a Wii, a gameboy and DS and a DS Lite plus games to go with them!

Lastly, on the home front, have you ever seen such a cutey ravaging ham out of hands before?

Little sod. My boy was out sitting outdoors on some spare bathroom carpet yesterday and was looking in need of a photograph. He tries licking the lens at every opportunity but this time laid back when Mark came outdoors armed with ham and tidbits. Next time mark, he will eat your hand.

As a bonus I have a double tier red spotty cake stand to GIVE AWAY. Can you believe it? The amazing people at www.dotcomgiftshop.com have donated one as a prize for one lucky person who will leave a comment relating to what their favourite product is on the website. **for those who dont know, if you hold Ctrl and click (command and click for mac users) your mouse over a link, it will open a window in a seperate tab so you wont lose this page** It does encourage you to go and have a look but I PROMISE you that you will not be disappointed. They are not paying me and nor have they offered me anything in way of promoting the site, except of course the cake stand for one of you guys to win. I personally love the site and am saving for the French Chateau supplies! Be advised though, this giveaway is open to everyone but if an overseas person wins Id be willing (and hope they would too) to split costs on shipping. It doesn't weigh a great deal and wont cost the earth but it helps with costs etc. I hope you don't mind :)
So what you waiting for, go and have a look and share with me your favvo item. And no, you cant bag the french chateau stuff cos they are MINE. All mine.

Nintendo?! That is awesome! I bet you are having a blast. Thanks for the opportunity to win the cake stand. That is the most adorable thing I have seen. I went to their site and now I wish I lived there. Right in their warehouse. OK...kidding. I love everything polka dotted on their site from the plates to the beakers, but those little skull and crossbone cupcake wraps are calling me name. Arrrrr.

It's just not possible to pick one thing from that site - they have such gorgeous stuff! But I have to say, I love the English Rose items, especially the tea set. I love jasmine tea and have to use my cafetiere at the moment to make it, so a lovely tea pot just for me would be wonderful! And the cake stand looks pretty delish too ;).

What a lovely site, there are some fab gifts on there and they seem well priced too. I love the metal sign about pleasing one person a day, words I WISH I could say, but it's hard to say no.

My absolute fave though is the Sweetheart ceramic trinket box. It looks good enough to eat and is begging for some little pretties to be put inside it.

Love the freebie papers for CB in July, will defo be downloading them and congratulations on doing work for Nintendo, how blooming kewl is that ???

Good luck for the tea party, wish I lived closer I would have definitely come. Would love to meet you and your babies :)

LOL, love your mum Kirsty. I've found a coolbag covered in a cute strawberry print and a 'to the beach' sign I saw in a magazine, and of course luv the cake stand too! Can you use your influence to get them to put the sizes on things or am I being dumb and missing where that is?

I've just been to read your article for the Fiskarettes and the projects are beautiful, really elegant.

I do live in the area, but it seems that I have been nominated to drive my 13 year old son and his friend to watch a 20-20 cricket match at Old Trafford, so I will have to decline your kind invitation. I do love tea and cakes, but as I joined Weightwatchers on Tuesday it is probably just as well. Now ... my favourite thing on the dotcomgiftshop site has to be .... the Fairy Cake Birthday Candle set, or the Fairy Cake Ceramic Butter Dish, or the Ceramic Cake Teapot with Cherry Lid .... difficult to choose just one but I am going to buy the Strawberry Ceramic Trinket Box for my friends daughter because she is into cupcakes at the moment and it is her birthday soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that lovely dotty cakestand.

Thats easy I love everything in the tea and cakes kitchen accessory bit! Ive just ordered some of the individual ceramic trinket cupcakes ( the ones with the lids) to keep crafty bits and pieces in - otherwise known as STUFF in my house! The plan is to collect them and have a line of them on my storage shelves!

So you read my name and thought "she´s scralifted me again", right?

Well, right. *big happy grin* I have already lifted this page once (not only the detail like on Tuesday but the whole page). Now I´m waiting for the paint to dry on take 2 & 3 so I can post them.

As I have lifted your work so many times, here´s my token of appreciation with the "Honest scrap" award.

Well, it's too cruel to give us a link to such a wonderful shop and expect us to choose just ONE item! However, after huge deliberations, I think I will have to settle on these Pink Heart-shaped Doilies. I mean, how decadent can you get?

OMG just one thing - impossible - it's my kind of store!!! At first I thought I liked the flying ducks, then the cake stand with little cakes hanging off - then the mugs (any one of them) then the old fashioned games.... and I could go on and on and on..... not forgetting the spotty cake stand.

Sally said...

What a fabulous site, thank you for sharing :)

I'm totally in love with that cake stand, have just moved house and it would look perfect in my new kitchen!

How did you know Kirsty - can I win two on the hop - but THIS was my favourite thing and I had even picked it before viewing the web site as I had been drooling over it in a local shop that also stock it - but I told myself it was too frivolous.....sotto voice ....pick me pick me pick me

Oh, I cannot believe the giveaway. I have been drooling over this tea stand for a long time and did not order it b/c my DH would be mad about any more "clutter" added to my beautiful finds. This is just too much of a coincidence... so my favourite definitely is the tea stand!
