To some papercrafting snobs, tags went out with the Ark. But quite recently Ive fallen in love with them and Im thinking its because Im enjoying working on a smaller canvas; instead of that usual, whopping 12x12 monster. I now get to use my favourite mini thingies (embellishments!) and what's more, I can make a project in 20 minutes instead of 2 hours. And since the advent of Glimmer/Maya/Blonde Moments mists as well as Tims teachings the other week, Im on an inking roll meaning inky fingers meaning I look like a minger.... hmmmmm. Still, Im experiencing a LOT of creativity so the mucky fingers will have to stay mucky.
This is a small batch of tags Ive been making of late.
I guess the principles of working like you would on ATC's have been used here albeit the tags are little bigger than your average ATC. And you know (of course you know!) Im no ATC/Stamp/Ink expert so Id love to expand on some super cool techniques. The Victorian images were free downloads from a couple of collage websites that took me months to find. Im obsessed with searching for beautiful images and have to admit they make my fascination with multi media a dream. I think to improve on this new found tag love, Im trying to locate good priced lace and muslim, need muslim fabric like I don't know what. If anyone has any cool sites I can search out, Id be so chuffed.
Going to get inky again tonight and hope that the congregation, tomorrow morning, won't notice my bluey/browny fingers as I hold up my hymm sheet.
