My bro, his wife and my sis and her kidlets came over this weekend.
Our house is upside down with converting the lounge into two rooms so space was tight coupled with the fact my bro brought his pooch, Ozzy along to keep Eddy company too.
It was cramped to say the least but you know thats what families do, they kind of oversee the turmoil and get on with getting along.
Food very much centres around entertaining visitors and seeing as Im on a bit of a health drive I sat there watching them chomp into my homemade chicken pie and the works and then tuck into soups and sandwiches with nibbly pies and meats too. I wonder if inhaling food scents cranks up the calories? God, I hope not - Id have put on 7lbs just by sniffing.
Cabin fever struck by mid morning in Sunday and come hell or high water - we were going out for a walk. High water it was as we donned wellies and brollies and cleared out those cobwebs with a brisk walk in the rain. The dogs came back filthy and soaked and then they had the audacity to take over the sofas as us humans sat on the floor.
I had a request to make a boy like overlay seeing as my usual ones consist of swirls and flowers. I suppose with me having a girl I lean more to the pinkness in life so last night, when the family had gone back to their cubby holes (for much needed room to stretch out, I guess!) I faffed about on my laptop whilst snuggling up with Mark and the dog to half watch Blades of Glory (good old cheesy fun that Belle wanted to escape from thinking it was too silly for even her!). Its boyish but also wintery-ish. Or whatevery-ish.
You can get this little baby here
