**Before I go any further we have to make a confession**
We have just got back from Nevada after two weeks of probing and poking. The reason we did not mention it before is because it would have been licence for people in our locality to come and ransack the house. We feel pretty pooey about not making some big and amazing announcement of our departure on 2nd April but on the same token, we have come back to our house intact and secure in the knowledge that we did the right thing.
The family news we had to share is that Ellie has had her heart issue DIAGNOSED. Now there is a word! What's taken the NHS 6 years to not bother about took Dr Evans 2 minutes to tell us the problem. The money you helped raise went towards his brilliance plus the brilliance of Dr Morris, Dr Denton, Dr Rice and Dr Grimes.
We are waiting for bloods results at the genetics clinic to come through plus various tests to be further carried out in the UK before we can determine if she needs hormone or muscle building stimulants. Thats more diagnostics on the way!
So much going through our heads right now - not to mention an 8 hour jet lag after a 14 hour shift from vegas to JFK to Manchester. Belle is in bed as I update (its 1330hrs here), Im just about to take a snooze and then start on some work. Mark has unpacked and we have only been home an hour! There are 1330 photos to process, medical notes to read again and again and a cup of tea to sink before I hit the hay.
I will tell you all about it when I manage to come to terms with this wonderful thing called a diagnosis.
Before I go - I want to just wave a big hello to Ruth and Scott Denton. If it was not for their generous invitation to have access to all these amazing professionals in the US - we would not be floating on this cloud. These people are giving and kind and loving and adorable. They took to Ellie like their own child and allowed us to spends lots of time in their home with their fab kids and 3 equally superiffic Daschunds - Daisy, Rusty and Charlie.
