Its true that laughter is the best medicine.
And when I read "The Secret", it also stated that laughter is the best medicine.
And today, when I laughed real hard, it not only made my aches and pains WORSE but it also made me feel happy and content.
GERTIE - you made me laugh the loudest.
One of those laugh out loud moments that makes you hurt.
All of this in response to my diagnosis pleas of yest.
Not that I am sat on a throne and demanding that the entire nation make me laugh or suffer the consequence of death.
But Gertie maded me laugh out loud. Because she thinks I have foot and mouth. I clearly have hooves that I have not identified thus far and I am a mad old cow anyway. TRUE.
You see, I was surfing during a film on channel 5 tonight. It wasnt a planned "ooooh look whats on the telly tonight, dear" kind of film.
It was an after dinner retreat which we randomly sunk into.
It was a bit pants to be honest, so I surfed hither and dither and read my blog comments.
And I laughed out loud so hard, I was tempted to dial 999 from ruptured spleenage.
Mark went back to camp and I caught the last hour of The Queen.
If any of that were word for word, action for action true, my admiration for the Queen would treble.
I have always admired her.
I have never judged her especially in the light of Diana's death.
She is a woman who was educated to provide duty first, heart second.
She didn't design her life to be like this.
It was shaped for her my men in grey suits, by example from her mother and by history itself.
I hate it when people show an ignorant disregard for the Monarchy.
We have a fabulous history of Kings and Queens and now, becuase of modern society and some nonchalant arroagance displayed by human kind - those "some" people would be happy to wipe the monarchy on a whim.
I can't believe I feel so strong about it.
But I do.
But anyway, wasn't Helen Mirren bloody fabulous? Isnt she the spit of the Queen in the film? I can't believe all the characters int he film were the spit of their real life counterparts.
If you didn't see it, I tote recommend it.
Holy crap, what a completely barking blog entry
