Really we shouldnt.
But it does.
When its wet and pouring with rain in JULY you kind of think we are destined for an eternity of the wet stuff. Infact Im going to build an ark. Whose aboard with me?
The back garden is flooded because the land our estate was built on used to be marshland of which was reclaimed in the 60's. The rain wont drain as fast as your average garden and its all overgrown. Bwah.
Belle and I are nursing cartoon network hangovers again. Ive let her stay up real late because, for some reason, cartoon network are running oldies like Johnny Bravo, The Power Puff Girls, Cow and Chicken and I am Weasel. Belle is delighted with these re-runs from her earlier memories. So we snuggle up on the sofa, I work on the lippy lappy and she giggles her head off. Cue Choc hotlate, snacks and cuddles and we are having the perfect hangovers from sleep deprivation the next day! But not tonight. We are up early in the morning.Anyway, today I made cards to stave off the boredom of being restricted to indoor activities
but come the evening and the sun rears its familiar head - I felt a celebration coming on. I really did. My eyes light up and suddenly we feel perky. Hurrah - vitamin C is back. So we venture out for tea at our loacl pub where Belle gorges on lard and I eat curry. Here she is in the overgrowth that used to be the pub's garden. Whilst the weather has been cacka poo poo I have been teaching mysekf new tricks on photoshop. Im not as massive fan of cross processing actions but to save time, I like to make my editing more fluid. This is a new technique I have amassed so I will show you the before (taken in the shade so light was ploppy) and a quick fix booster to make it look a little more edgy.
And needless to say those three dandelion clocks took a hammering too!
Tomorrow see's Belle being fitted for her secondary school uniform. She has to wear a blazer and they dont do her size so this is going to be fun... pray she grows 5 inches between now and september, will ya?
